The programme of thematically diverse day of the Week of Culture included the events taken place in different parts of the eastern region of the country, but united by a common idea - to reflect the continuity of the best traditions and humanistic ideals.

Today in the administrative center of Lebap velayat the grand opening of the Week of Culture-2021 took place. A large-scale creative action, initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has been held since 2013 in different regions of the country, demonstrating a bright and diverse palette of national culture, its role in the development of the state and society, and a huge peacekeeping potential.

Regular issue of quarterly scientific and popular magazine Miras, which is published by Magtumguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, has been released.

A creative event took place online between the park "Ashgabat" and the cultural and entertainment park "Ashgabat" in the twin city of Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of municipal administrations, cultural figures and masters of art of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Turkey. Representatives of Ashgabat's twin town - Albuquerque (USA) and the Austrian-Turkmen society attended the event.

Working video conference meeting on inclusion of Ashgabat to the Smart City Network of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in “Design” category has been held in the Ministry of Culture.

Ashgabat hosted a concert of art masters dedicated to the Day of Constitution and State Flag of Turkmenistan. “White City Ashgabat” monument, which was opened on May 24, 2014 with participation of the head of the state, has been selected as a place for celebration concert.

Handover ceremony of original item of national craft – ‘kurte’ (wedding cape), which was embroidered by mother of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Ogulabat eje presented as gift to the museum, and conference “Art, which absorbed the heat of the hearts” have been held in the State Museum of the State Cultural Center.

The State Institute of Culture hosted an international meeting "The historical image of Sultan Sanjar, the principles of peacefulness and friendliness in the mentality of the Turkmen people", which was held in a hybrid format.

The award ceremony of the winner of creative contest for the best image of Turkmen horse in visual, decorative and applied arts, printing production, photos, on TV channels announced among artists, sculptors, carpet makers, photographers, printing personnel, designers and TV operators has been held in Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President on April 23.
