Businessmen from Great Britain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and other countries purchased hydro-treated diesel fuel, aviation and lighting kerosene, base oil produced by Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex and Russian entrepreneurs procured fine-grained potassium chloride for foreign currency. Besides, cotton purified oil, wheat, various one-coloured and jacquard terry items, cotton yarn, cotton fibre, regenerated fibre, cotton lint were sold for foreign currency. The counties buying these items were Russia, Great Britain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Singapore, UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan. Total amount of transactions exceeded 50 866 000 US dollars.

Farmers of Dashoguz velayat started cotton sowing, where, according to climatic conditions, the sowing season is traditionally started later than in other regions. Traditionally, the beginning of sowing campaign was blessed by honorable elders, who threw the first seeds into the ground, and then gave way to the machine operators. On this occasion exhibitions of agricultural machinery and products of processing enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan were organized.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on Rice Production in Turkmenistan in 2017. The document entails that it is planned to plant with rice the total area of 18 thousand 300 hectares, and ensure the production of 81 thousand 600 tons of pearl grain in Dashoguz and Lebap provinces.

Located in geostationary orbit, Turkmenistan’s satellite, “TürkmenÄlem 52°Е”, enables to provide comprehensive communications services, including digital broadcasting, telephone communications, videoconferencing, data transmission, satellite Internet not only to customers in our country, but also to users in other countries in Central Asia, Iran, Turkey, North Africa, Europe. At present, high-capacity transponders of the satellite allow high-definition national television and radio broadcasting. Various ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan use satellite-provided services.

To unify all digital stations into a single automated communications system, Turkmen communications engineers will have to lay over 2,000 kilometers of fiber-optic and copper cables throughout the country. By now, over 1,000 kilometers of various cables have been laid in the capital to provide its residents with a modern package of services (line communications, Internet, and IP TV services).
