President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, while on a visit to the city of Turkmenabat, has received Director General of Altcom Financial Industrial Group Alexander Tislenko.

Turkmen banks will allot easy term credits to peasant associations, economies, unions, agricultural research institutes, land owners, and tenant farmers, private businessmen - manufacturers of agricultural produces and legal entities not belonging to the state. The corresponding Resolution was signed by the President of Turkmenistan.

At the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan 64 transactions were registered this week. For foreign currency businessmen from Russia, the USA, Great Britain, Turkey, Afghanistan and others bought polypropylene, motor gasoline, total oil coke manufactured at Turkmenbashi oil refineries complex.

In the framework of economic reforms initiated in Turkmenistan, the private sector, entrepreneurs and industrialists play an increasingly important role. This is seen in the results of the first two months of 2017.

Dynamic development of the country’s economy continues in 2017. During the past two months, Turkmenistan preserved the GDP growth dynamics, which equaled to 6.2 per cent in January-February. The increase amounted to 7.8 per cent in agriculture; to 16.9 per cent in trade; to 14.2 in transport and communication; and to 10.3 per cent in the services sector.

Cotton planting in Ahal, Lebap and Mary provinces will start on 25 March, while in Dashoguz the works will be commenced on 29 March. According to tradition, the launch of this important campaign will be attended by community elders.

Ashgabat hosted the presentation of the Technical Center of agricultural equipment production from Uzbekistan of Joint Stock Society ""Uzagrotehsanoat holding"". The celebration was attended by a delegation of the neighboring country, representatives of Uzbek engineering, service and leasing companies. Among the participants there are representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Turkmenistan, the country's farmers, farmers' associations of Akhal velayat, the private sector of economy and the Agrarian Party.

The agenda of working meeting with the participation of heads of the shopping complex and business structures included issues, regarding the fulfilment of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’s instructions and orientations, the execution of sectoral programs. Among them – production expansion of domestic goods, exported abroad, and extension of foreign economic relations with all interested foreign partners.

The issues of the development of railway branch, construction of Turkmenbashy International Sea Port, modernization of television, radio, digital broadcasting and communication network were discussed during the working session for further modernization and improvement of transport and communication sphere of Turkmenistan

In the course of the working meeting on the agricultural complex problems, its participants’ attention was focused on the requirements of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov to strengthen radical reforms, implemented in AIC.
