Turkmenistan is on the verge of a major event. Less and less time remains until the moment when the country's polling stations open their doors for the people of Turkmenistan, who, using their constitutional right, will have to fulfill their civic duty and elect the head of state.

The election campaign continues in our country, within the framework of which candidates for the highest state office hold meetings with voters. In accordance with the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, all of them are given equal rights and opportunities for freedom of campaigning, including in the media.

A meeting of voters with the candidate for the President of Turkmenistan – the chief doctor of the Avaza sanatorium of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the country, deputy of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Berdymammet Gurbanov, nominated by an initiative group of citizens of the Balkan velayat, took place today at the Mekan Palace of the capital’s khyakimlik.

Pre-election meetings with voters of contenders for the post of President of Turkmenistan continue in Turkmenistan. Visiting each velayat of the country, candidates, in accordance with the Electoral Code, use the equal rights and opportunities granted to them for freedom of campaigning, speaking at meetings with the electorate and in the media, which is a clear evidence of the triumph of the principles of democracy.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of France.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the outcome of work of sectors of national economy for two months was summed up, reports of relevant heads were heard and a number of other topical issues of state life were considered.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Vahagn Khachaturyan on his election as President of the Republic of Armenia.

A few days remain before the moment when the citizens of Turkmenistan, using their constitutional right to freedom of expression, will come to the polls to cast their votes for one of the nine candidates running for the post of head of state.
