“With deep sorrow we have received the news of the death of your honourable father, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, whose selfless work and services to the Turkmen state and people will be best remembered.

The opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» has been held in the capital. On the same day, regular session of International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» timed to Turkmen Shepherd Dog Holiday, which according to relative Order of the head of the state would be annually observed on the same day with National Turkmen Horse Holiday on the last Sunday of April, has taken place.

“Passing of a loved one is a huge grief and a terrible loss, leaving a non-healing wound in a soul. In this difficult hour, I wish you, dear Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich, courage and ask you to accept my sincere words of sympathy and support for your family”, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko says in his letter.

“Please accept my deepest condolences over the passing of your father. I express my sincere sympathy and support to you and your family members over this terrible loss”, says President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in his message.

I wish you, your family and friends, courage and resilience in this difficult hour”, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin expresses his words of support.

On April 18, in the holy month of Ramadan, at the age of 89, the father of the President of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, passed away. The Turkmen people received this bitter news with deep sorrow.

A nationwide planting campaign took place in Ashgabat and all regions of the country. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in the event.

XI Session of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association chaired by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in the Oguzkent Hotel of the capital.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which current matters of the state policy and drafts of some documents have been reviewed.

For outstanding merits in enhancement of the world glory of ahalteke horses, in development of equestrian sports and horse breeding industry, improvement of livestock breeding, teaching of love to horse breeding art to young generation, the Mejlis of National Assembly of Turkmenistan decided to award President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with honorary title «Türkmenistanyň ussat halypa seýsi».
