On February 15, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited the Center of unmanned aerial vehicles, which under authority of the Ministry of Interior. Due to supportive activity of the head of the state last years, special attention is paid to the development of national electronic industry based on advanced world achievements and innovative technologies in this field. Organization of activity of the Drone Center has become an important step on this way.

On February 15, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), together with the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO), held an online briefing for media to discuss the achievements of Turkmenistan in the implementation of the Country Preparedness and Response Plan to the pandemic.

On February 12, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of the work of the Government for 2020 and January of this year were reviewed, reports of vice-premiers, number of ministers and heads of the regions were presented. Priority issues of the country's social and economic development were also discussed and key tasks for the sectors of the national economy for the current year were outlined.

On February 11, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference extended joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council. Heads of ministries and departments, higher educational institutes and mass media, regional and capital’s administrations have been invited.

On February 10, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working video conference session where the outcomes of the economic, financial and banking complex of the country in 2020 were reviewed and objectives for the current year were outlined.

On February 9, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference session where the results of activities on the implementation of the foreign policy course of independent neutral Motherland in 2020 were reviewed and priority tasks for the current year were identified.

On February 8, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working video conference session where the outcomes of work for 2020 in the spheres of science, education, health care, sports and public organizations of the country have been reviewed as well as priority tasks to improve their activities have been identified.

Intensive preparations are well underway in Turkmenistan for the election of Khalk Maslakhaty members of the Milli Gengesh (National Council). In accordance with the electoral legislation, the nomination of candidates opened on February 6. Velayat, etrap, and city khalk maslakhaty are currently holding meetings to select and nominate their candidates.  

On February 7, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session with participation of some members of the Government, heads of cultural and mass media sphere, profile departments, directors of universities. Outcomes of work on development cultural sphere and mass media in the last year have been reviewed and future objectives have been specified at the session. 

On February 6, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session for development of transport and communication complex with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of profile departments and profile higher educational institutes.
