President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov being on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the purpose of participation in the 13th Summit of heads of Member States of the Economic Cooperation Organization, met with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Islamabad.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, who takes part at the XIII Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), has met with Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad.

Islamabad hosted XIII Economic Organization Cooperation Summit where President of Turkmenistan took part.

In his speech at the OEC Summit in Islamabad, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, speaking about the large-scale regional projects initiated by Turkmenistan, noted that the engineering of energy and transport-transit corridors within the Organization for Economic Co-operation stimulates the implementation of other infrastructure projects. In particular, it was noted the possibility to lay new electrical systems and other utilities by the side of the pipelines erected.

Formation of modern transport and communication system is one of the priority directions of Turkmenistan state policy, said President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov at the ECO summit in Islamabad.

Speaking at the Economic Cooperation Summit in Islamabad, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov declared that Turkmenistan recognize the system of energy supplies on international level as one of generating component of the global economy. Having made relative proposal and relying on the support of the United Nations, our country steadily implement this initiative.

High level XIII Summit of the Heads of the States of the Economic Cooperation Organization started work in Islamabad, where President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes part.

The President of Turkmenistan arrived to Islamabad to participate in the XII high level Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization members.

Today, President of Turkmenistan has held a telephone talk with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
