An opening ceremony of a modern water treatment facility built in “Turkmenistan” private farm association and a groundbreaking ceremony for the secondary school in Garahan village took place in Kaka district of Ahal province as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the country for 2019-2025 approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Institute of State, Law and Democracy hosted a meeting of the Inter-ministerial Commission on Ensuring Turkmenistan’s Compliance with International Obligations in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law that reviewed the results of its work in 2018 and discussed its further activity. The meeting was attended by representatives of the country’s National Parliament, several ministries and sectoral agencies, and public organizations.

During the working session on February 15, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmen people have always taken care of domestic animals and made proposal to organize specialized clinic and to take it under the Government support. This medical facility would be also opened for the participation of the entrepreneurs and wide public as well as relative volunteers in this noble affair.

The level of public health care is one of the main indicators of the quality of life of the population in any country, the effectiveness of its state model and social policy.

Active preparation to the elections of the Mejlis deputies, members of the People’s Council and Gengeshys to replace the ones, which finished their service, on March 31 is carried out in Turkmenistan.

Administration centre of Esenguly etrap hosted best etrap of Turkmenistan 2018 Award Ceremony. The prize is 1,000,000 US dollar from the State Development Fund. Heads of National Trade Unions Centre, etrap and regional administrations, representatives of public organizations, leaseholders, best personnel, elders and numerous citizens of the etrap took part in the event.

Intense preparations are well underway in Turkmenistan in the run up to the election on March 31 of Mejlis deputies, People’s Council and Gengesh members to replace those resigning before their term of office expires.

In the morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made cycling ride in the Kopetdag foothills as well as visited Ahalteke Equestrian Complex.

Representatives of scientific community of the country took part in the conference organized in Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University. It brought together scientists, tutors of the universities and students who are involved in scientific and creative activity.
