The sphere of culture of Turkmenistan prepares for the Neutrality Day and the New Year celebrations. The programme of the festive events includes a number of architectural premiers, concerts by masters of culture and arts of Turkmenistan, exhibitions, contests, scientific and branch conferences. By tradition, the artistic contest ''The star of the year'', anounced among popular artists and amateur singers, will be summed up in the last decade of December. Among the international events are the joint concert of Austrian and Turkmen musicians, international conferences, dedicated to the Neutrality day, as well as the Russian circus performances. The ceremony of lighting up the main New Year's tree of the country is scheduled for December 15.
