Billiard Sport Federation of Turkmenistan was officially registered in Turkmenistan. It was immediately marked with holding of the First Championship of the country. Nearly 60 billiard players from Balkan, Mary, Lebap, Dashoguz provinces and Ashgabat city participated in the competitions taken place in the capital’s Winter Sports Complex. Fight for medals was held in the discipline “Free pyramid”. Residents of Ashgabat – Begench Aydogdiyev and Batyr Ashirov have met in the final game. Both athletes have a huge playing experience, including the performances on the international sport arena. In particular, they were the participants of IV Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts held in 2013 in Republic of Korea, where as is known, Turkmenistan picked up the baton of these complex competitions. Decisive game was held with variable success. First, the initiative belonged to Batyr Ashirov, who won in start with preference in two games - 3:1. In reply to it, Begench Aydogdiyev had to use the risk actions that provided the fruits: he was able to take over the initiative and win his opponent with a score of seven goals to five. Bronze medals were gained by the resident of Ashgabat Kerim Chakanov and Kamaladdin Babayev from team of Dashoguz province. As the chairman of Billiard Sport Federation of Turkmenistan B. Ashirov said, the vital task in the current period is to be a part of Asian Billiard Sport and Snooker Confederation. Negotiations are carried on in this connection. National Federation also has to work on opening of their subdivisions in every administrative center of five provinces. Presently, the residents of Turkmenistan have to prepare for several large international tournaments, which will become important stages of preparation for V Asian Indoor Games and martial Arts. Among them is World Billiard Championship (“Pool” discipline) to be held in autumn in Qatar.
