Turkmenistan fuel and energy sector demonstrates stable growth rates

The development of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan in January – November, 2017 is characterized by the stable growth. Reporting during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Vice Premier M. Babayev noted that the gasoline production plan has been fulfilled to 102.1 percent, diesel fuel - 101.1 percent, polypropylene - 104.3 percent, lubricating oils – 102.6 percent, and liquefied gas - 107.8 percent. As compare to the same period of 2016, the growth rate of natural and associated gas production made up 103.4 percent, and the export of ""blue fuel"" - 103.7 percent. The Vice Premier also reported on the progress of the construction of the Turkmen section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, which is being conducted in accordance with the approved plan. Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the importance of attracting investments for the further development of the fuel and energy sector, recruiting executives and talented specialists, as well as taking the measures to implement the Programme for the development of the oil and gas industry in Turkmenistan till 2030. According to the President of Turkmenistan, first of all it concerns such aspects as the increase of the volume of oil production, development of new promising areas and the use of modern technologies.
