At the meeting of the Government President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov supported the proposal to unite the Holiday of the Turkmen carpet and the Day of Textile Industry Workers. Deputy Prime Minister Aidogdyev M., who supervises the industrial complex, said that this year, on the occasion of professional holidays, it was planned to hold specialized international exhibitions of carpet and textile industries. In order to perfect the activities of the industry sectors, it was suggested to celebrate the Holiday of the Turkmen carpet and the Day of Textile Industry Workers as the Day of the Turkmen carpet and workers of the textile industry. Having stressed the great contribution of the textile and carpet industry workers to the development of the national economy, the successes in achieving high labor results in the production of high-quality textiles and handmade carpets that make up a significant share of Turkmen exports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the expediency of celebrating the Day of Turkmen carpet and textile industry workers in May.
