2017 Turkmenistan GDP growth rate makes up 6.5 percent

The GDP growth rate in the industrial sector made up 5.5 percent, in the construction sector – 1.3 percent, in the transport and communications complex – 11.1 percent, in the trade sphere – 9.4 percent, in the agricultural sphere – 5 percent and in the sphere of services – 9 percent. As compare to the same period of the previous year, the manufacture of products increased up to 6.4 percent. As compare to 2016, the volume of retail trade increased up to 19 percent in 2017. The prices for consumer goods, as well as the rates of services offered to the population, are kept within prescribed limits. The average monthly salary rates in large- and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased up to 8.8 percent as compare to 2016. In the framework of the relevant programmes, the industrial and social facilities are being built in all regions of the country in the reporting period. As compared to the previous year, the volume of investments used from all sources of finance made up 49.8 billion manats in 2017.
