The program of cultural events was prepared for the celebrations scheduled for February 23 and 26 in Mary and Lebap velayats on the occasion of the start of the construction the Afghan section of the TAPI gas pipeline, Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line, the fiber-optic line along the same route, the opening of Serhetabat-Turgundi railway, the international airport in Lebap velayat and the forthcoming launch of the international rally ""Amul-Khazar 2018"", cycle race and track and field athletics cross. Deputy Prime Minister Abdiyeva B. told about it at the government meeting. The leading theme of these celebrations will be the history of the Great Silk Road, which will be reflected in the folklore groups’ performances from all velayats of the country. They will introduce the customs of the Turkmen people hospitality, festive rituals and traditions of preparing national dishes, needlework, sports games and spring field works. Exhibitions of fine and decorative arts of the Turkmen people, as well as the peoples of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India will be arranged. In this regard, the Head of the state focused on the cultural component of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy, as well as in the formation of public consciousness and ordered all planned events to be held at a high level.
