Foundation stone laying ceremony of new industrial complex, which is to be built in accordance with the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2018 – 2024 as well as with the objectives set for the textile industry for the increment of the production export volumes, has been held in Kaahka etrap. According to the Resolution of the Head of the State, the industrial complex including spinning, weaving, dyeing and clothing manufacture productions will be oriented to the processing of 5000 tons of fine fibre cotton and production of 3650 tons of cotton wool, 12 million sq.m. of fabric and 1 million 200 thousand of readymade garments per year. This decision was important step in realization of the strategy of growth of national economy that stipulates large-scale diversification of the branch, industrial development of the regions, deeper processing of raw materials. Construction of another large high technology textile facility is given to Turkish «Cotam Enterprises Ltd.», which gained many years of experience of fruitful cooperation in the construction of the facilities of this sphere. The opening of the facility is planned in 2021. Heads of velayat and etrap administrations, honoured elders, personnel of textile industry, representatives of non-governmental organizations and mass media, local residents took part in the ceremony. Deputies of the Mejlis have also come to congratulate them on this remarkable event. In their speeches, public representatives mentioned the contribution of the Mejlis deputies in the support of the reforms of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and in the solution of social issues on sites. It was highlighted that opening of new textile complex would create additional occupancies supporting further improvement of the level and quality of life of the population. Deputy of the Mejlis Serdar Berdimuhamedov representing the interests of the 24th electoral pool of Ahal Velayat made a speech on behalf of the people’s representatives. He highlighted the symbolism of the ceremony on the threshold of International Women’s Day that widely observed in the country, as two thirds of the personnel of national textile industry are women who mastered advanced technologies of production of ecological friendly textile from natural materials, which presents considerable share of Turkmen export attracting foreign consumers by the quality and beautiful design. Congratulating the participants on the launch of construction of the facilities and women of the branch on International holiday, the deputy highlighted large-scale reforms and fundamental renovation in Ahal Velayat that are aimed at the growth of the economy of the region and improvement of social provision of the population. It includes the opening of new workshop at Kaahka cotton spinning mill “Serdar” in 2017 that has arranged the manufacture of export oriented products, which were not made in the country before. This is specially twisted fine double-weave wool from fine-fibred cotton designated for production of terry and cotton canvases and shirt fabrics. Current event were visual reflection of actual measures of the State in realization of the programmes of social and economic development of the country, provision of labour occupation and prosperity of people.
