The State Medical University hosted the meeting with representative of the Senior Expert Services (Germany), Professor Wolfgang Kaschka. German professor is invited for the consultancy and share of the practice to the International Neurology Centre of the General Directorate of Medical Centres. He shared his vision of the perspectives of the cooperation of the specialists of Germany and Turkmenistan with the professors and lecturers and students of medical university of our country, having answered the questions on the development of neurology as scientific discipline and as practical health protection. The meting was held in the format of interested discussion, having highlighted topical directions of cooperation of Turkmen and German neurologists. Wolfgang Kaschka emphasized outstanding role of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in continuing expansion of international relations in medicine, which is brightly indicated by active contacts of Turkmen doctors with their colleagues from Germany. “It became traditional for Turkmen specialists to visit the clinics in Germany and for our specialists to go to Turkmen medical centres, the guest said, having noted the importance of such efficient ground for cooperation as Turkmen – German forum that provides the planning of joint works with their further full implementation”. During the last VII Turkmen – German Forum that was held in Berlin on March 5 – 6, 2018, the orthopaedic and physiotherapy issues have been discussed as rehabilitation is very important for the recovery of the patient after this or that disease. When it is spoken about the rehabilitation, it means not just physical recovery but the improvement of nerve system. Current lecture of German professor in Turkmenistan State Medical University was dedicated to medicinal physical training. The importance of medicinal physical training was repeatedly highlighted by Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recommending using it wider in the combination with physiotherapy, diet therapy and other methods in medical facilities of the country including in sanatoriums. While in some case, medicinal physical training makes an excellent addition of standard treatment, it is irreplaceable during the recovery of normal activity of nerve system. International Neurology Centre was opened in Ashgabat in 2016. This largest clinic is to be the main scientific and research, medical and diagnostic centre of the country that is able to solve any problems in neurology and similar disciplines. During the opening ceremony of the centre, Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the interest in the opinion of German professors on the capabilities of the equipment of the centre. The guests were sincerely excited with advanced provision of the clinic, having noted innovative character of the equipment including rehabilitation simulators for postoperative therapy. In general, the neurology is an actual direction of the development of medicine as many other diseases are related with the malfunctions of nerve system. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted the necessity of the establishment of closer partnership with foreign specialists in this field. The visit of German Professor Wolfgang Kaschka is another step in this sphere.
