Consumers Unions in Turkmenistan to Be Privatized

The consumers unions system in Turkmenistan will be privatized. Vice Premier, G.Myradov, presented his report on the relevant works at the Government session. Proposals on the closure and transfer of ownership of the property of this organization to the State under the Law of Turkmenistan on Consumers Unions were submitted to the head of state. The Vice Premier also reported that the phase-by-phase privatization was planned for the enterprises and facilities in the ownership of the Ashgabat and provincial branches, the list of which was reviewed at the session of the Inter-departmental Central Commission of the Ministry of Finance and Economy. In this regard President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of reforming various branches of the national economy. Stressing the fact that proposals on the expediency of structural changes in consumers unions of the country meet the demands of time, the head of state instructed Vice Premier Myradov to conduct relevant works in cooperation with several government agencies.
