The Head of the State notes the necessity of implementation of environmentally friendly technologies to railway sphere

During the session of the Government on May 11, the President of Turkmenistan focused in the involvement of the potential of railway sphere for the development of multimodal transport and communication system. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that International Seaport was opened in Caspian Sea recently, which operation undoubtedly would lead to strategic changes of logistic infrastructure of continental communications. Turkmen transit hubs will be important components of this system. New railway stations have been built, new roads meeting international standards have been laid and existing railways have been modernized, the Head of the State said. Having also noted the importance of efficient implementation of modern environmentally friendly technologies, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted the appropriateness of the electrification of the railways and addressed the Vice-premier with number of specific assignments.
