Grain fields of Dashoguz Velayat occupy 157 thousand hectares, from which the farmers will have to produce 300 thousand tons of grain. Local grain growers prefer suchproductive breeds of wheat as Sahrayi, Juvan, Yoloten 3, Moskovskaya, Bat’ko, Irishka and Vassa, which have recommended themselves well in local soil and climate conditions. 363 grain harvester were prepared for 2018 harvest season. Mainly, these are John Deere (USA) and CLAAS (Germany). Their crews are composed of skilled operators, many of who had special training courses on new modern equipment form the leading world manufacturers that were delivered to our country recently. 108 mobile maintenance teams will provide service to the farmers providing them with all necessary resources like fuel, lubricants, spare parts for equipment. Operators, drivers and other personnel underwent special occupational and fire safety training. They have all living conditions in the fields. 2050 lorries will provide the transportation of the wheat from the fields to 29 reception facilities. After drying and preliminary cleaning, part of the grain will be left as seeding materials while rest of the wheat will be milled as well as will be placed for long storage in the elevators of Gyorogly, Boldumsaz, S. Turkmenbashy and other etraps. Laboratories of the State Service Turkmenstandartlary is at full readiness. The specialists of the Service will be checking the quality of the grain using latest equipment. Concerning the grain growers of Balkan Velayat, their target is 120 thousand tons of grain, 57 thousand hectares are allocated for the winter crops in the western region. These are the fields of farmers associations of Serdar and Bereket etraps. Many things were done there to grow generous yield in terms of strict compliance to agrotechnical standards and care of winter crops. Necessary preparation work has been carried out in the velayat for efficient use of every day of the harvest season. More than 150 grain harvesters came to the fields. Network of repair and maintenance bases with vehicles, spare parts, fuel and lubricants was expanded for their uninterrupted work. In addition, 825 cargo trucks were assigned for transportation of the grain. The start of the harvest in Dashoguz and Balkan Velayat was forestalled by the seminars with the representatives of velayat and etrap administrations, skilled agronomists, machine operators, farmers. Issues of proper organizations of the mowing, provision of coordinated work of the grain harvest conveyor were in the focus of the seminars.
