After the reception by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Board Chairman of PJSC Gazprom Alexey Miller gave interview to TDH: - Turkmenistan that has richest gas reserves is our traditional partner in energy sphere. At present, intergovernmental agreement between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on cooperation in gas sphere until 2018 and the contract with the same period are still valid. It was paused for commercial reasons and would be resumed in the end of 2018. In this regard, we discussed the resumption of the procurement of Turkmen gas by Gazprom, which would start in January 2019. We know very well about big capabilities of Turkmenistan and at the same time, we see growing markets where the gas is traditionally supplied. Therefore, the situation on the gas market is very good today. At present, our main agreement is that we start substantive negotiations on resumption of procurement of Turkmen gas with our Turkmen colleagues. At the same time, we have also highlighted other spheres of cooperation in processing and petrochemical fields. In general, the meeting was held in friendly and constructive atmosphere. With regards to the volumes of gas supplies and other issues of contract relations, we will have other negotiations on technical level. We expect that this agreements will be achieved very soon. During the meeting with the President of Turkmenistan, we talked about joint projects in Turkmenistan. I think we will discuss these subjects in 2019. We are glad that Turkmenistan sees Gazprom as reliable partner in realization of big investment projects in your country taking into account our competency in this sphere. However, the utmost objectives that have to solved in coming months are the subjects of procurement of Turkmen gas starting from January 1, 2019.
