Action of destruction of narcotic drugs and counterfeit cigarettes was held next to Bagabat settlement of Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal Velayat. It was organized by the Government of Turkmenistan, State Coordination Commission on Combating Drug Addiction under the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Interior of the country. Narcotic drugs and cigarettes, which were seized during number of special operation conducted by law enforcement and military agency, have been burned down in special furnaces. Heads of security forces, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country as well as public activists, elders and youth were the participants of the action. Narcotic drugs packed in plastic bags, different size sacks and marked bundles were demonstrated to them. Thereafter, everyone had a chance to put the packages of dangerous substance to the furnace. The process was controlled by the personnel of law enforcement structures and authorized experts who stated the fact of destruction of narcotic drugs and tobacco. Destruction of narcotic drugs indicates the resolution of Turkmenistan to eliminate the problem of drug addiction and sale completely.
