Turkmen weightlifter wins bronze medal at junior world championship

Our fellow countryman Bektimur Reyimov won the bronze of the World Junior Weightlifting Championship in held these days in USA. Turkmen sportsman won the medal in the weight category up to 67 kg. Turkmen athlete lifted 122 kg in the snatch and 147 kg in clean and jerk. By the sum of two results, our sportsmen took the third place. His result was 269 kg, one kilogram less than his opponent from Georgia. Bektimur is very promising athlete. He is the 11th grade school student of secondary sport school Olymp. The success at the competitions in Las Vegas opens new sport horizons for him. The World Junior Championship in USA is continued. The best young juniors of the planet will compete until March 15. More than 180 sportsmen from all over the world competing in 10 weight categories take part in the championship. Turkmenistan national team is composed of young weightlifters who demonstrated high results in the country’s championship.
