Turkmen capital hosts show jumping competitions

Numerous residents and guests of the capital have gathered at the open arena of Ashgabat Equestrian Complex in the afternoon where show jumping competitions, one of the most spectacular Olympic sports, where ahalteke horse demonstrate good results. More than 20 horses from Ahalteke Equestrian Complex, International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex and National Equestrian Centre took part in the competitions. Specialist for Canada Stephan Francis Bookman was the Head Referee of the competition. According to the regulations of the competitions, which were held in tworounds, the horse with jockey have to cover the distance with 11 obstacles, which height in the first round phase varied from 1.1 meters to 1.15 meters and from 1.20 meter to 1.3 meter in the second round. Those who receives less penalty points and demonstrates high speed of covering the obstacles becomes the winner. The competitions have demonstrated high skills of riders in handling horses. The winners of show jumping competitions will be announced and awarded during coming events in occasion of National Turkmen Horse Holiday.
