Representative international free style wrestling tournament Spanish Grand Prix was held in Madrid on July 5 – 8. More than two hundred strongest wrestlers from 47 countries of the world took part in the competition. Turkmenistan was represented by two sportsmen at this tournament who competed in different weight categories, during which they won gold and silver medals in stubborn contest. Batyr Borjakov (70 kg), acting coach of sport school in Balkanabat, did not leave any chance to opponents in this weight category and took the highest level of the pedestal. Fifth grade student of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Training and Sports Dovletmyrat Orazgylyjov was one step away from the gold, having lost in stubborn fight if the final match, and became a silver prize winner in the weight category 86 kg. Due to supporting activity of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, big attention is paid in Turkmenistan recently to the development of physical training and sports of high achievements. Relative work on popularization of different sports is carried out, the skills of our athletes is growing and the ranks of future champions are increased. Free style wrestling was not left aside from the changes as well and in the result, more and more medals of international tournaments are added to the collection of National team.
