Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria is accredited to Turkmenistan

Last week, on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdyeva accepted the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan Ms. Maya Hristova. In the course of reception, the Ambassador was informed about the major trends of the domestic and foreign policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. The success of the policy conditioned the fact that Turkmenistan is now ranked among the world’s most dynamically developing countries. In particular, special emphasis was placed on the large-scale national projects and programs implemented in our country and aimed at improving the quality of life of the Turkmen people. The diplomat was also acquainted in detail with the structure and law-making activity of the Turkmen parliament. Showing great interest in the progressive changes ongoing in independent Turkmenistan, Ms. Maya Hristova has stressed that she counts a great honor to represent her country in the state which has gained impressive achievements in the socio-economic and cultural development within such a short time. As the Ambassador of Bulgaria noted, the long-term economic interaction and long-standing friendship of the Turkmen and Bulgarian peoples serve as a strong foundation for further deepening of the full-scale dialogue between the two countries. While exchanging opinions on the prospects of the Turkmen-Bulgarian relations development, partnership in the oil and gas sector, in the field of construction notable for extensive experience of cooperation, as well as in the scientific-educational- cultural spheres and tourism industry, the parties have sorted out among the priority trends. *** The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan was also received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country. During the meetings in the Ministry of Oil and Gas and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan and the “Turkmengas” State Concern consideration was given to the issues of interaction in the fuel and energy complex.
