Total amount of week’s transactions exceeded US $25 million. Last week, 23 transactions were registered at the State Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. Business people of Russia, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased for foreign currency motor gasoline and polypropylene made at the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex, and representatives of business circle of Switzerland contracted straight-run gasoline produced at the Seidi Oil Refinery. In addition, technical iodine and technical propylene bags (SC “Turkmenhimiya”) were sold for the foreign currency to business people of the United Arab Emirates and other countries. Foreign currency contracts were concluded also for refined cottonseed oil, cotton yarn and ginned cotton. The country-buyers: Russia, Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malta, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Ukraine. The sum total of transactions totaled more than US $25,875 thousand. The deals in deposit manats were made by representatives of business circles of Pakistan – they purchased cotton yarn (over 1 million,228 thousand manats).
