A series of successful performances of Turkmen sportsmen in the international sport arena was carried on by masters of alysh belt wrestling and taekwondo (WTF). The two competitions replenished our country’s “medal box” with 15 medals – 2 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals, which our sportsmen dedicated to spring Novruz Holiday. The International Alysh Belt Wrestling (“Grand Prix” commemorated to Bayaman Erkinbaev, a founder of alysh belt wrestling) was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. It brought together some 100 strongest masters of the martial art from 18 countries – Russia, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Mongolia, India, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Georgia and others. Our sportsmen succeeded in winning 1 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals in close combats. Dinara Hallyeva has taken a top place on the medal podium. The sportswoman from the administrative center of Lebap velayat left winning chances to no one in the weight class under 66 kg.
