The Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan has hosted a festive concert by artists to mark International Women’s Day. Famous singers Atajan Berdyev, Atageldy Garyagdyev, Annaguly Myratdurdyev, Akhmed Atajanov, Azat Donmezov, among others, offered the audience a musical treat, singing repertoire ranging from classical to pop and folk songs that celebrated women. The highlight of the concert was a sparkling literary and musical performance given by dance groups from across the country. Through the language of music and dance, they recognized the huge role our women play in the development of the Turkmen state and society. Children’s dance groups and choir delighted their beloved mothers and grandmothers with their warm and love-filled performances and songs sung in different languages. Stand-up comedians amused and filled everyone with positive emotions. Performed by a joint folk ensemble representing all the regions of the country, Kushtdepdi, a traditional colorful dance, brought the concert to a spectacular close.
