The Foreign Ministry hosted political consultations in video conference format between Turkmenistan and Romania, during which perspectives of intensification of beneficial cooperation in the context of realization of agreements reached on high level have been discussed. Speaking of initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on provision of uninterrupted international transportation under conditions of emergency situations, the participants of the session highlighted constructive role of Turkmenistan in the process of mitigation of impact of pandemic in the region and world. Partnership in transport and communication section including development of draft of intergovernmental Agreement on establishment of international Caspian – Black Sea transit and transport corridor was the subject of detailed discussion. Important role of Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen – Romanian Commission for economic, scientific and technical cooperation in intensification of beneficial contacts in different spheres between representatives of the government and private sectors has been highlighted.
