Türkmenaragatnaşyk Agency hosted video conference session between representatives of Türkmentelekom State Communication Company and AzerTelecom Limited Company, during which current condition and perspectives of development of profile bilateral partnership have been discussed. Project of joint construction, ownership and use of fibre optic line between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan across Caspian seabed was the main subject of online session. It was mentioned that implementation of this project, which covers the territory of ancient Silk Road, would connect Turkmenbashy and Siyazan as well as improve cooperation in improvement of telecommunication bridges between Europe and Asia. Turkmen side prepared proposals on implementation of this project, which were presented for review and coordination of economic, technical and other related aspects. Special attention was paid to attraction of investments to telecommunication sphere as well as to discussion of the terms of joint construction, operation, service and protection of the line.
