Development of trade and economic relations was brought out to the agenda of online meeting held between representative of business communities of Turkmenistan and Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. Turkmen side was represented by the management of the Trade and Industrial Chamber, Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, other ministries and departments, which are interested in export of their production to saint Petersburg. Management of Trade and Industrial Chamber, representatives of government structures and lower organizations, number of companies specialized in industry and production of construction materials, equipment, radio electronics, telecommunications and instrumentation as well as in organization of export and exhibition activity represented Saint Petersburg. During online talks, the sides discussed priority directions of cooperation in the context of implementation of agreements reached on the highest level and existing significant potential. At the same time, it was highlighted that constructive character of contacts established in the last years and positive practice of cooperation, its significant capabilities make all prepositions for expansion of bilateral relations. Major reforms in Turkmenistan, which are aimed at diversification of national economy, technological progress and improvement of social sphere open favourable future for efficient partnership. During the session, Turkmenistan’s representatives made presentation of their capabilities in supply of construction materials, textile production as well as wide range of goods of private manufacturers. Russian side has also made some proposals on export. It includes such entities as Avangard OJSC, Centre of Development and Support of Entrepreneurship, other business structures from Saint Petersburg, which are interested in work on Turkmen market. The participants of the meeting spoke for continuation of regular talks, which allows specifying vectors of trade and economic partnership. Trade Representative of Turkmenistan in Russian Federation and representative of the Embassy of Russian Federation to our country have also taken part in the session.
