Online meeting with UNESCO experts

Representatives of various departments and institutions of the country held a videoconference meeting with UNESCO experts. The agenda of the meeting was the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and the possibility of Turkmenistan's accession to it. The representatives of Turkmenistan emphasized the commitment of our country to the protection of national and universal values, the establishment of an atmosphere of friendship and trust between states and peoples on the basis of an open and constructive cultural and humanitarian dialogue. Those speaking during the meeting underlined the contribution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO, great attention paid to the preservation of the national and global cultural heritage. Representatives of the Turkmen side expressed interest in joining the Convention and discussed a wide range of related issues with UNESCO experts.
