Turkmenistan’s representatives take part in online seminar under ESCAP

The State Statistics Committee has held video conference meeting with representatives of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) under regional online seminar dedicated to use of data from the population and housing census and registration of natural movement of the population for calculation of indicators and analytical strategies. Wide range of subjects of cooperation and perspectives of its promotion in the context of implementation of the Sustainable development goals has been discussed at the meeting. According to common opinion of the participants of the webinar, this event will provide the platform for further development of subjects of use of statistics for disaggregation of the SDGs’ indicators, geological space information and tools for formation of the date of the population and housing census. Common understanding of definitions and methods of calculations of the SDGs will be reached in the result.
