The High-Level Group on Trade and Investment Support within the framework of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation held the eighth meeting in the format of a videoconference.

The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations K. Kurbanov, the Russian side was represented by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development D. Volvach.

The prospects for trade and economic cooperation were discussed during the meeting and the draft Programme of Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Russian Federation for 2021 - 2023 was considered.

The meeting agenda also focused on the progress in the implementation of joint projects. Meeting participants exchanged views on the aspects of building up mutual trade and cooperation in the spheres of industry, energy, finance, including partnership between financial regulators and commercial banks of Turkmenistan and Russia.

A corresponding Protocol was signed on the outcomes of the meeting.
