“Let me extend my cordial congratulation on the 76^th anniversary of the Victory in Great Patriotic War 1941 – 1945! Our valiant fellow countrymen together with representatives of other nations showed an exemplary heroism and love of the Motherland at the battle fields of brutal war of 1941 – 1945 – a tragic and bloodshed period in the world history. Having gone through military path of war, which lasted for 1,418 days, our brave warriors were awarded with high titles of Hero, combat medals and orders”, - the celebration message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to fellow countrymen says.

Turkmen leader mentions in his message that elder generation, women and children who experienced all burdens, loss and starvation and had indelible wounds in their hearts, worked hard for the sake of the future, triumph of peace and victory. Following slogan “All for front! All for the victory!” they have made significant contribution to bring the victory closer. Turkmen women handed over 7,392 kilograms of gold and silver jewelry, having demonstrated the sample of heroism.

“We celebrate the Victory Day on the state level as a glorious day, which educates younger generation based on heroism of the Motherland’s defenders. This year, which is held under slogan “Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust” and marked with the 30^th anniversary of independence and 140^th anniversary of Ashgabat, we will put flowers to the monuments built in “People’s Memory” Memorial Complex, in the cities and villages of the country, we will held cultural and public events perpetuating glorious path of the Motherland’s sons. Military courage and braveness of our glorious ancestors in cruel war will remain in the memory of successors forever!

We take great care of every citizens of Turkmenistan, especially war veterans, who make considerable input to the strengthening of solidarity of our society, education of youth in the spirit of patriotism and humanity with their wise advises. We steadily improve social and living conditions of representatives of elder generation. On occasion of the Victory Day, we give presents to the war veterans and solider widows. These celebration event indicate that everyone is surrounded with great care in our country.

Today, the traditions of friendship, understanding and support, which united people in the years of war, make a reliable foundation for comprehensive cooperation between Turkmenistan and foreign states. Our humanitarian and creative political course aimed at strengthening of universal peace and security, sustainable development and expansion of constructive partnership have provided high authority of independent neutral Motherland in the world arena. Being recognized peace-making center of the region, neutral Turkmenistan stands for expansion of fruitful international cooperation”, - the message of the President highlights.

Finishing celebration message, the head of the state wished fellow countrymen strong health, peaceful, prosperous and happy life.
