Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the celebrations timed to coincide with the celebration of the International Day of Neutrality.

Welcoming the head of state, the guest expressed gratitude for the time allotted for the meeting and the opportunity to participate in the International Conference “Peace and Trust Policy – Basis of International Security, Stability and Development”. Congratulating the leader of the nation on the International Day of Neutrality, Mr. Khusrav Noziri noted that the Organization for Economic Cooperation fully supports the peaceful and creative foreign policy pursued by the Turkmen leader, contributing to strengthening of global peace and security, therefore this holiday is a triumph of Turkmen diplomacy on the world stage.

Continuing the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further partnership and its main vectors in the context of Turkmenistan's chairmanship this year, the implementation of the agreements, designed to further strengthen fruitful regional contacts between the ECO member states. At the same time, the ECO Secretary general noted the relevance and timeliness of the creative initiatives of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, including those voiced at the 15th ECO Summit and aimed at enhancing regional and international economic relations, developing balanced solutions to the tasks set in this direction.

Expressing gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his support in promoting productive ties, filling them with new concrete content, the head of the international structure stressed that progressive humanity welcomes and fully supports the peacekeeping policy of Turkmenistan, which occupies key positions in Central Asia, and important international initiatives put forward by it.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation, once again expressing his admiration for the grandiose achievements of independent neutral Turkmenistan, conveyed his best wishes to all the Turkmen people, who are confidently walking the path of grandiose transformations of the era of power and happiness.
