Two medals of the purest tint had been won by our compatriots on the World Bench Press Championship held in Las Vegas (USA) according to the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) – without equipment. The victory was gained by Merdan Nursahatov (weight category up to 83 kg) and Dovletnazar Atanazarov (over 120 kg). Almost 500 competitors from nearly two dozens of countries participated in the championship.
