The King of Bahrain congratulated the newly elected President of Turkmenistan

Today, the telephone conversation has taken place between incumbent President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah.

Having exchanged warm greetings, the interlocutors highly appreciated the traditionally friendly interstate dialogue, which has obtained a new content in the modern epoch.

An official visit of the Türkmen leader to the Kingdom of Bahrain and a state visit of the King of Bahrain to Turkmenistan, which relatively took place in 2011 and 2019, became landmark events in the history of bilateral relations. By the outcome of the high-level talks, important agreements were reached and a pack of documents, which laid a reliable foundation for further fruitful cooperation, was signed.

In the course of conversation incumbent President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov touched on the topic of the Presidential elections, which were held in our country on March 12, and by its results, Serdar Berdimuhamedov was elected new head of the Turkmen state. As the leader of the nation informed, from this moment, he intends to continue his active work as Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

Having noted that in recent years under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Turkmenistan has reached significant progress in all spheres of life of the state and society, King Hamad al Isa Khalifah wished the leader of the nation success in his further work for the benefit of his country and people.

Having expressed his acknowledgment for kind words, incumbent President of Turkmenistan, availing of the given opportunity, thanked the King of Bahrain for his personal contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Further, the leader of the nation passed the receiver to newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having warmly congratulated the newly elected head of Turkmenistan with his victory at the presidential elections, the King of Bahrain wished him great success in his responsible work at the highest state post.

Having expressed his sincere gratitude for congratulations and kind wishes, newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed his readiness to continue the policy initiated by the incumbent head of the state, one of the priority areas of which is development of constructive partnership with countries of the Arab world. On its side, Turkmenistan intends to further strengthen mutually beneficial relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain in all areas: political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

At the ned of the telephone conversation, having expressed confidence that Turkmen-Bahrain cooperation based on unshakable traditions of friendship and brotherhood, principles of equality, mutual respect and support, will further be developed dynamically, incumbent President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, newly elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah exchanged their best wishes of each other and peoples of both countries.
