President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the death of the head of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky.

He was a prominent political and statesman and during his long and bright political career he made a significant contribution to the development of Turkmen-Russian relations, to strengthening the age-old ties of good neighborliness and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, the head of state noted.

The head of state also expressed on behalf of the people, the Government of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf the words of condolence and support at this difficult moment to the relatives and friends of the deceased.
