Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the eve of the day of commemoration of Malikguly Berdimuhamet ogly, gave a memorial sadaqa-agzachar(charitable-iftar) in his honor in the ancient village of Yzgant, Gokdepe etrap, Ahal velayat.

Giving sadaqa-agzachar in the holy month of Ramadan is one of the good customs inherited from wise ancestors. This noble event means turning people to good deeds, moral and spiritual purity.

As the time of agzachar(iftar) approached, Haji Arkadag, together with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, arrived at the place of eternal rest of their ancestor.

Giving sadaqa-agzachar at a specially prepared place near the Abyl Ishan cemetery in the village of Yzgant is one of the evidence of the preservation and continuation of the sacred customs of our people, passed down from generation to generation and a worthy example to the whole world.

Haji Arkadag wished the people gathered here that their prayers in the holy month, good wishes and aspirations would be accepted by the Almighty, and expressed gratitude for participating in sadaqa-agzachar.

As Haji Arkadag noted, the day of commemoration of his father Malikguly Berdimuhamet ogly is approaching and, fulfilling the sacred custom, his filial duty, commemorating his father, he gives sadaqa-agzachar in the holy month of Ramadan.

Then Haji Arkadag thanked all the participants of the memorial sadaqa(charity). The mufti of Turkmenistan read "tebarek".

At the end of the memorial prayer, the participants of the sadaqa were served treats. Traditionally, national dishes are prepared and served in sadaqa-agzachar.

After the meal, verses were read and prayers were offered for the acceptance of sadaqa-agzachar by the Almighty.

Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the audience to sadaqa-agzachar, which will be given on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Hezreti Omar mosque in the capital on April 18, on the day of the anniversary of the death of another Malikguly aga.

“Let there be peace in our country! May all prayers in the month of Ramadan be accepted by the Almighty!” - said Haji Arkadag and once again thanked everyone for participating in the agzachar-sadaqa in memory of dear father Malikguly Berdimuhamedov.
