In the capital of Turkmenistan, under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation began its work.

The meeting initiated by Turkmenistan is attended by Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbaev, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Mamytov, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali and Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva.

The Forum was preceded by a flower-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Constitution of Turkmenistan. At the end of the ceremony, the participants of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation proceeded to the Congress Center of Turkmenistan.

After the ceremony of official joint photography at the Congress Center, the opening of the solemn meeting of the Forum took place.

At present, the parliamentary delegations of the countries of Central Asia and Russia are discussing the issues on the agenda of the meeting.

As expected, during the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, issues of developing cooperation in the legislative and other fields will be discussed.
