Today, the seventh session of the first convocation of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan has taken place and it approved the laws adopted on July 16 in the nineteenth meeting of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh. The given legal normative legal instruments were developed in accordance with priorities of the socially oriented policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the complex program for modernization of the legislative and legal basis of the state.

Representatives of mass media were invited to the session.

In their speeches, deputy-chairmen of the head of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh as well as heads of committees gave conclusions on each legislative document.

First, the Law “On e-government” adopted by the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh was put on for discussion. Speakers noted that the given document was developed taking into account the policy pursued in digitization of all spheres of activity of the Turkmen state and society with a view of facilitation of implementation of the Concept of development of digital economy in Turkmenistan for 2019–2025.

It was underlined that the Law “On e-government” on a legal basis strengths creation of information and telecommunications infrastructure of public institutions and will facilitate active introduction of technologies of paperless circulation of documents in state and management institutions and as a whole, comprehensive development of the country. 

During discussion of the Law “On dog breeding and cynological activity“ its significance in the large-scale work carried out in the country to develop selection of Turkmen alabays, further improvement of this unique breed, its popularization in the world as an inseparable part of national and universal cultural heritage, was underlined. 

In addition to it, members of the Halk Maslakhaty considered a number of normative legal documents related to improvement of the legislation in force. They included following Laws of Turkmenistan:

“On introduction of amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure of Turkmenistan”, “On introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Turkmenistan”, “On introduction of amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan “On courier service”, “On introduction of additions to the Law of Turkmenistan “On customs service” , “On introduction of amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan “On combating corruption”, “On introduction of amendments and additions to the Tax Code of Turkmenistan“, “On introduction of additions to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan”, “On introduction of amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan “On motor roads and road traffic” , “On introduction of amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan “On railway transport”, “On introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Turkmenistan”, “On introduction of amendments and additions to the Provisions of honorary title of Turkmenistan “Ene mähri” as well as “On introduction of amendments to some legislative acts of Turkmenistan”.

During the discussion, the significance of improvement of local normative legal basis in realization of the socially oriented policy pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and dynamic development of sectors was marked.

Other topical issues were also considered during the session.

Laws put on for discussion at the seventh session of the first convocation of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh received a unanimous approval and were reflected in relevant resolutions.
