Today, the telephone conversation took place between Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Having warmly greeted the head of the friendly state, Hero Arkadag sincerely congratulated the Uzbek leader with his 65th birthday anniversary and wished him sound health, wellbeing and great successes in his large-scale activity for the benefit of the brotherly people.

As was underlined, under the wise leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, today the Republic of Uzbekistan sees grandiose transformations and reforms to achieve outstanding successes and progress at the new stage of its development.

Having highly appreciated the reached level of interstate relations, which have gained qualitatively a new content in recent years, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan underlined the special attention and personal contribution of the head of Uzbekistan in their strengthening.

Having underlined that great works were carried out for development of Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation, Hero Arkadag mentioned the recent state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan, which demonstrated that the successes reached find their worthy continuation today.

At present, there is a regular and constructive dialogue between ministries and departments of the two countries and goodly neighbourhood partnership between frontier regions are intensified.

The Turkmen-Uzbek trade and economic relations develop dynamically, cooperation in cultural, humanitarian and scientific fields expands and strengthens successfully and inter-parliamentary contacts are intensified.

In this connection, Hero Arkadag pointed out that all efforts would be made further for expansion of interrelation between legislative bodies of our countries facilitating comprehensive bilateral approaches to address the topical challenges of modernity.
