As part of the official visit, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, where a solemn ceremony was held to confer the academic title of Honorary Professor of this university on the leader of a friendly country.

On the square at the main entrance to the main building of the university, the rector of TSU B. Orazdurdyeva and the president of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan A. Ashirov cordially greet the distinguished guest.

In the lobby, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gets acquainted with the exhibition prepared by the universities of Turkmenistan. The exposition reflects the key areas of progressive reforms being implemented in our country in the scientific and educational sphere. With systematic targeted state support, the national higher school is consistently building up its potential. Here, too, the dutar ensemble of the university demonstrated its performing skills.

Then the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan was announced to award the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the academic title "Honorary Professor of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University" for personal merits and a significant contribution to strengthening and expanding traditionally friendly, fraternal and good neighborly relations between the Turkmen and Uzbek peoples, fruitful interstate cooperation in the political, trade and economic, fuel and energy, transport and communication, scientific and educational, cultural and humanitarian, sports and tourism fields.

In a solemn atmosphere, to the friendly applause of the participants of the ceremony, the distinguished guest is dressed in the national Turkmen don and telpek, and he is also presented with the appropriate Certificate and a bouquet of flowers.

Speaking to the audience, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing gratitude for the honor rendered - conferring the academic title of Honorary Professor of one of the leading Turkmen universities, noted that he regards this as another symbol of the strengthening ties of friendship, good neighborliness and fruitful cooperation between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

At the end of the ceremony, the distinguished guest warmly said goodbye to everyone and departed from TSU.
