This afternoon, the events in honor of the opening of the Week of Culture 2023 continued at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of the country.

There was a workshop of museum specialists "The possibilities of digital systems installed in the museum in the development of museum business" and methodological courses on the study of international experience in improving the restoration of museum values.

The main theme of the speeches, made at the meeting, was the issues of further development of the sphere of culture, including the improvement and modernization of methods of organization of the museum business.

As part of the conference, there were shown a video about our nation's museums and slides, introducing their work in preserving and popularizing the national cultural heritage.

Moreover, there were reports on the importance of the "Virtual Journey" implementing project in the state museums of the country, the capabilities of the digital system in accounting of museum values, storage of works of art, as well as the need for museum sites in the realization of their target activities.

In addition, there was an interested exchange of views on further improvement of the museum business in the digital format, including in the context of the tasks of patriotic and aesthetic education of the youth, set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The ancient five thousand-year history of the Turkmen people, their distinctive traditions, unprecedented achievements of Turkmenistan in the new era are all embodied in the richest museum expositions.

Further, the event included methodological courses on the study of international experience in improving the restoration of museum values and archaeological finds using new methods.

The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the exhibition of museum treasures, works of fine and applied arts from the funds of the country's regional museums. There were exhibited ethnographic artifacts such as ancient clothing, fine jewelry, magnificent carpets and tapestries, items telling about the roots of Turkmen decorative and applied art, traditions and customs of the people dating back to ancient times.
