Cultural and humanitarian sphere plays an important role in the social and political life of Arkadag, the first smart city in Turkmenistan. A number of modern cultural facilities have been built in the city.

The Department of Culture of the city of Arkadag is located in the building of the Cultural Complex, which also houses educational institutions, television and the editorial office of the newspaper "Arkadag". The city's cultural and humanitarian complex also includes the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater, the Dovletmammed Azadi Library, the Museum of Local History, the Sakhy Jepbarov Specialized Art School, the Shukur Bakhshi Children's Art School and the Gerogly State Equestrian Circus.

All these institutions are equipped with advanced, innovative technologies, and the buildings are built in accordance with the national traditions of architecture.

Under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, all conditions are being created for the development of Turkmen culture and art, for enriching them with new, modern works in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State.
