Today, the new city of Arkadag hosted the International Scientific Conference «City of Arkadag - the embodiment of digital and smart technologies».

The organizers of a major forum, which became one of the important events on the occasion of the grand opening of the first stage of the smart city, were the hakimlik of the city of Arkadag, the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

The conference, held in a mixed online and offline format, was attended by members of the government, the ATS and its constituent institutions, rectors, professors and teachers of the country's universities.

Among the foreign participants are the heads and employees of prestigious foreign higher educational institutions and scientific institutions from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Germany, Japan and other countries, as well as representatives of reputable international organizations, in particular, heads of structural divisions and UN agencies accredited in Turkmenistan.

The conference was preceded by an acquaintance with an exhibition of digital technologies and innovative projects. And this is by no means accidental, because it is with these concepts, in the first place, that the unique smart city of Arkadag is associated, which, on a legislative basis, has received a special legal status - a city of national importance.

As the forum participants, for whom a study tour of the new city was specially organized, were able to make sure, a distinctive feature of the urban environment being formed here is the creation of the most comfortable conditions for living, creative work, life and leisure of people who are served by innovative digital technologies that meet the requirements of today's day.

As the participants of the forum noted, the opening of the city of Arkadag, which can rightly be called the city of the future, will go down in golden letters in the annals of the modern history of Turkmenistan as irrefutable evidence of the economic, scientific and technological development of the country, which has relied on the active introduction of high technologies in all spheres of life.

The guests expressed their genuine admiration for the achievements of our sovereign Fatherland, which is confidently moving towards new frontiers of progress and prosperity and once again demonstrated to the whole world that it is capable of implementing large-scale, paramount projects based on innovations, the most complex technological solutions and advanced scientific developments.
