Today, here, in the administrative building of the construction complex, the International Scientific Conference "City of Arkadag - a majestic example of construction and industry" was held, which completed the cycle of international events held these days on the occasion of the opening of the first stage of construction of a unique "smart city".
The forum was attended by heads and representatives of institutions and enterprises of the construction, industrial, energy, chemical and road industries of Turkmenistan, as well as a number of foreign companies that are long-standing and reliable partners of our country. Among them are BUIG Turkmen, Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd, Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd, Sumitomo Corporation, Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Tijaret A. Ş., Rönesans Inşaat, Vozrozhdenie, LLC Road Construction Altkom, Limited Liability Company INAS+ and others.
As emphasized during the conference, the development of human civilization is inextricably linked with scientific and technological progress, the achievements of which in our time are put at the service of "smart" cities, where digital information and communication and "green" technologies are actively used.
As emphasized in the speeches, there are not many countries in the world today that can build and put into operation an entire city built on the basis of the smart city concept.
According to the general opinion, the opening of a new, the only “smart” city in the Central Asian region, in all spheres of life of which innovative digital technologies are widely introduced, will be inscribed in golden letters in the annals of our Fatherland as an event of particularly important, historical significance.
Speaking foreign guests expressed sincere admiration for the beautiful architecture, as well as the monumentality of the buildings and structures of the new city that harmoniously fit into the local picturesque landscape, which has become an ornament and another hallmark of modern, dynamically developing Turkmenistan, striving for new heights of creation and progress.
At the end of the international scientific conference, its participants adopted Letters of Appreciation addressed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag, whose far-sighted and wise policy is aimed at improving the level and quality of life of the people.

In the afternoon, on the sidelines of the forum, separate meetings were held between the heads of ministries and departmental departments of the construction and industrial complex of Turkmenistan with representatives of foreign companies, with whom the prospects for further development of fruitful cooperation built on the principles of long-term and mutual benefit were discussed.
An excursion was organized for the participants of the international conference, introducing the cultural centers and sights of the first "smart" city of Arkadag in the history of the country.
