President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Ashgabat to attend the trilateral summit, at the «Arkadag» hotel in the capital.

The parties exchanged views on the issues of expanding bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of topical areas of interaction. The parties also considered a number of issues of international and regional policy of mutual interest.

The heads of the two friendly states expressed confidence that the upcoming trilateral meeting of the presidents of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan would contribute to the development of regional partnership.
