President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, noted the need to develop a concept for the development of the city of Arkadag for 2024 - 2052.

The head of state noted that exemplary work is being carried out in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag; luxury residential buildings, control centres, educational and medical institutions, shopping and entertainment centres, parks and squares have already been built and put into operation. According to the head of Turkmenistan, built by its own builders in just over four years, the city of Arkadag will turn into a major centre of science, education, culture and international cooperation.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized that during the construction of this beautiful city, awarded the 21st international award, the concept of «smart city» and «green technologies» were widely used, and the status and importance of the city received legislative confirmation.

«And I consider it necessary and purposeful to begin preparing a concept for the development of the city of Arkadag in 2024 - 2052, this will enable the city of Arkadag to take its rightful place in the world», –said the head of state.
